This workshop – on how to make a variety of small handmade books – is designed for everyone from the novice to the experienced book arts maker. Bonnie will share samples along with a brief history to spark inspiration. Participants will learn how to create a handful of simple book forms. Following a step-by-step process, ordinary materials will be folded, cut, glued, and sewed with simple stitching. At the end of the workshop, the completed book structures will provide each maker with beautiful surfaces on which to write, journal, draw, sew, paint, or collage. Perhaps this begins an endless flow of new ideas to come!
