Meet the Instructor

ALANNA BARBONE VAN KAMPEN

Alanna has a professional dance background and began her dance training at the age of 4. When she was 15 she began studying ballet at the Joffrey Ballet School in New York City. After high school she went on to study full time at Joffrey and completed the 4-year trainee program and became a faculty member for the children’s program. She also danced with the Radio City Christmas Spectacular for 6 years. In 2003 she was introduced to her first Pilates Mat class and was immediately hooked. While dancing, Alanna was injured with bilateral stress fractures in her heels. Unable to dance for nearly a year, she maintained mobility and flexibility through Pilates. Alanna was certified in Mat Pilates later that year, and later a full comprehensive certification from Core Pilates NYC. Alanna opened Center Cut Pilates in 2013 and has studios in Clinton and Long Valley. She is a graduate of North Hunterdon High School and lives in Hunterdon County with her husband and three kids.
