Book and textile artist Rebecca Kelly and poet filmmaker Vasiliki Katsarou will lead a cross-disciplinary workshop for artists looking to incorporate text into their art practice, and for poets interested in visual art and ekphrasis. The workshop will be framed around the work of pioneering modernist poet artist Mina Loy. Experiment with techniques in assemblage art, and also pursue an inquiry into materials, to create a space for poetic experimentation.
Please bring an assortment of found objects with you. These can be anything organic or man-made such as, discarded metal parts, kids plastic toys, paper, buttons, keys, doilies, feathers, small plastic doll parts, etc.
