This introductory adult workshop will explore the art of hand papermaking. Using inspiration from the museums current exhibition Pulp: The Fluid and The Concrete, participants will gain an understanding of handmade paper as a diverse medium. The workshop will cover basics of sheet forming with a mould and deckle, pressing and drying. We will experiment with pigmented pulp, shaped deckles and learn a variety of decorative techniques. Learn the basics of papermaking to continue experimenting in your own home studio! Participants may get wet as we will be continuously working in water.

Please note: Instructor will take home the papers to press and dry at the end of the workshop and participants must return to the museum to pick up their work.
