In this workshop, students will learn how to crochet in a round to create colored spiral patterns and then incorporate their spiral forms into a larger wall hanging. We will focus on intuitive free-form crocheting as a group activity, working together to create a creative, flowing, large piece of work.

Meet the Artist

Emily is a fibers and materials studies artist based in New Jersey. She crochets and weaves materials that focus on exaggerating texture. Emily received her MFA from Cranbrook Academy of Art in 2023 and has shown work in Montana, Philadelphia, North Carolina, and Colorado. She celebrates life and existence with her work, while helping others have a better understanding of what it means to live in a different mental space.
