Students will make plaster forms and draw designs to practice the art of Scrimshaw – carving done by various cultures over the years. Popular with seamen in the 1700’s, scenes often included maritime themes. Campers will also learn about the art and tools of stone carving and polishing. Their carved creations will be the source of much pride when they bring them home to display.
