FACULTY
Susan Curtis graduated from the State University of New York and taught in a pre-school in New York. She has developed age appropriate art curricula for primary school age children. She has taught preschool art classes at the Museum for several years.
Lisa Grasso-Earl has a MA in Education from Seton Hall, has completed the Art Therapy Mentor Program at New York University, and has a BA from the School of Visual Arts. A clinical art therapist, she has worked closely with the children of cancer patients. Her programs for these children have been adopted by hospices nationwide and have been the subject of numerous presentations, along with a publication and an exhibition at the Morris Museum.
Nan Krochta holds a BA in Fine Arts from Montclair State and has a degree from FIT in illustration. She has conducted workshops, classes and children's birthday parties at the Museum for many years.
Anne Kullaf holds a B.S. in graphic design and fine art from the University of Bridgeport in Connecticut and has studied at The Art Students League of NY. A full-time artist and instructor, her work has been exhibited at the National Arts Club, and will be featured in a 2008/2009 traveling museum exhibit. The New Reality: The Frontier of Realism in the 21st Century. She regularly exhibits in New York City at the Salmugundi Club and the Michael Ingbar Gallery and is currently on the Board of Directors of the Catharine Lorillard Wolfe Art Club.
Nancy Miller attended Spectrum Institute majoring in illustration, she has a fine arts degree, and has worked as a freelance artist and teacher for over 30 years. She has been the artist-in-residence at Franklin Township Elementary for more than a decade. She is a commissioner for the Warren County Cultural and Heritage Commission and member of Art Educators of New Jersey.
Bascha Mon has received Artist Fellowships from the New Jersey State Council on the Arts. She has a bachelor's degree from Skidmore College and has studied at New York University, the Art Students League, the School of Visual Arts, and Pratt Institute. She has exhibited internationally and has work in both private and museum collections. She has extensive teaching experience.
Karen Pinto received her degree in teaching from William Paterson University. She is a certified teacher and has been an educator for over 18 years. She has worked extensively with special needs children.
Jim Pruznick has taught Artistic Expression for over 15 years. He established a video production business to make affordable documentaries for artists, children in school and people with disabilities. These productions are informed by his study of fine arts at Montclair State University, as well as his experiences working with schools and human service organizations for the past twenty-five years.
Lena Shiffman attended Parsons School of Design and the Art Students League of NY. She has illustrated numerous books for Scholastic and has created many drawings for Cricket Magazine. She was a recipient of the Christopher Award in 1989.
Sandra Van Ardenne has a degree in Art History from Occidental College in Los Angeles. She is a bead-weaver by profession. Her work has been exhibited nationally and featured in music videos, on CD covers, and in couture collections in Paris, France.
Charles David Viera is an artist and educator with an MFA from Brooklyn College. His paintings have been exhibited at the Brooklyn Museum, the National Academy and the Adam Gimbel Gallery and can be viewed at charlesviera.artspan.com. He has taught ar Parsons School of Design, Pratt Institute and Long Island University.
