This course is designed to teach students how to see and understand values and how to paint light on form using oil paints. If you have never painted in oil paint, I will show you how to be comfortable with oils and even learn to love the medium.
I use odorless Gamsol and clean up is easier than you think. The benefits of oil paint are plentiful. You will have more open time; the paint will stay wet for a longer time, so you can make changes to your work in process. The instructor uses a limited color palette, so the supply list is shorter and the benefit of learning to mix the colors is much greater!
This course is open to all who want to improve their painting skills; beginners are also welcome.
