Learn to simplify the human form by getting familiar with basic anatomy and structure to better understand the figure. We will work from the live model sketching within various time frames. Students will focus on how to initiate a figure drawing by blocking in large forms. The students will have fun while gaining confidence in expressing the human form. Demonstrations will be given along with individual help. We will be working from both the female and male (nude) models.

Please note there is an additional $65 materials fee for all students. Materials fee covers the cost of models.

Materials to bring:

– 18”by 24” newsprint pad
– Generals charcoal pencils 4b extra soft are recommended (however you can also bring vine charcoal sticks)
– kneaded erasers
