This course is designed to inspire and empower teenagers to explore their creativity through the art of creative writing. Through a combination of interactive lessons, writing exercises, and group discussions, students will develop their writing skills, expand their imaginative thinking, and discover how to amplify their unique voice through a variety of creative approaches.
There are three sessions of this workshop, and students can sign up for as many as they please. Each session will focus on different areas of writing, with session one being an introduction to creative writing, session two focusing on finding inspiration, and session three focusing on revision and editing. The final session will be a showcase of the writing done in the three workshops, with a live reading of students’ work. Students from any of the three workshops can sign up to attend/present at this showcase, free of charge.
