Hunterdon County, and surrounding area, art teachers are invited to participate in an enhanced professional development workshop designed to combine the National Core Arts Standards (NCAS) and Social Emotional Learning (SEL) framework with mindfulness-based teaching. The museum is delighted to offer art educators an immersive and restorative experience that incorporates hands-on elements and information-sharing. Together, we will look, create, reflect, and discuss in the galleries and the art studio. The art educator/artist will explore ways to infuse the art classroom with mindfulness and SEL principles.

Electronic resources will be provided for further investigation and contemplation.

Coffee and light refreshments will be provided in the morning and lunch in the afternoon.

Co-presented by:

  • Angela Mikula – artist and art teacher at Delaware Township School
  • Bonnie Berkowitz – artist, art therapist, and educator
  • Donna de Ville – Director of Education and Community Engagement at Hunterdon Art Museum

If you have any questions about this event, please contact Donna de Ville at [email protected] or 908-735-8415 x119.
